Casey Shea
Director of Strategic Communications
Casey Shea is the Strategic Communications Director at Center for Humane Technology, where she shapes the narratives that help people understand what a humane digital future could look like, and how to get there. She translates CHT’s research and ideas into memorable stories that demystify the systems behind harmful tech design and elevate solutions that realign incentives toward the public good. Her approach is deeply informed by her years in democracy reform, where she helped illuminate the structural drivers of dysfunction—and the levers for change—in American politics.
Previously, Casey served as Director of Marketing and Communications at RepresentUs, where she led award-winning digital campaigns to help democratic, anti-corruption reforms succeed. Before that, she worked in the tech startup world as a content director and strategist.
Casey lives in Brooklyn, NY with her family. When she’s not wrangling her toddler, she enjoys reading, cooking, and taking long walks through NYC’s wonderful parks.
